The Greybound is a Gilnean themed RP guild, active on Argent Dawn (EU). We offer scheduled roleplay events with focus on combat, investigation, puzzle-solving and community interaction. Originally founded during the Reclamation of Gilneas, they were officially disbanded by the Crown when the conflict ended. However, this would not mark their end; they remain active in serving their kingdom, wherever they can.

The Founding of Greybound

Founded by Lady Marina Traynor, the Greybound are a civillian militia, loyal to the kingdom of Gilneas. Endorsed by a wealthy Gilnean patron, they serve queen and country, within the limited capacity that they possess.After aiding in the Reclamation of Gilneas, Lady Marnie moved back to Tempest's Reach, where her the Traynor family's residence was located. The Greybound were disbanded and many of its members settled in their homeland once again.The Greybound are bound by a code of conduct. They act within Gilnean laws and work alongside local authorities, such as the Greyguard, where necessary. During the reclamation, they were granted official capacity by the Crown. They aim to serve their people, rather than earn their own glory.

House Traynor of Gilneas

Before the fall of Gilneas, House Traynor was a noble family; their name is likely to be remembered by those familiar with the former upper classes of Gilneas.Since the kingdom's fall, they have maintained neither wealth nor power. Edward Traynor, the house's heir survived, alongside his son and relocated to Stormwind City. He joined the Alliance Army, where he would serve as an officer. His wife, Marina, also survived, although neither realised that the other lived, at the time.In present day, Edward and Marina have been reunited. Since the reclamation of their kingdom, the lord has retired from military service and returned to Gilneas. He now lives in Tempest’s Reach with his wife and their son, James.

The benefactor of the Greybound is Lord Edward Traynor, the unit's ultimate authority. Officers give orders in the commander's absence and help to organise operations.

SWORNS, RECRUITS – Members

Regular members of the Greybound are known as sworn fighters. Junior members are referred to as recruits until they've officially sworn their allegiance.

TREASURER, SUPPLIERS – Associates

The Greybound hires associates to aid in their work, such as a treasurer to deal with finances and suppliers to aid with the procurement of provisions.

The Greybound accepts all, provided that they are committed to the Gilnean cause and willing to work for their kingdom. Roles within the force vary but all are welcome that can provide useful skills. Potential recruits are assessed by Lady Marnie before they're accepted into the Greybound's ranks.

After a successful trial period, recruits are offered the opportunity to become pledge members of the Greybound, by taking an oath of service to the people of Gilneas.

LADY MARNIE TRAYNOR – Commander

The founder and acting leader of the Greybound, Marnie Traynor leads her unit with a firm yet fair attitude. After many years surviving the harsh north, she’s become a formidable warrior.

LORD EDWARD TRAYNOR – Benefactor

Edward Traynor is Marnie's husband and the Greybound's primary benefactor. As a veteran of the Alliance Army, he lends them his experience and funds the Greybound's activity.

RHEA WHITEHALL – Officer

'GREER' – Sworn Fighter

Greer became Marnie's only friend, following the fall of Gilneas. The pair survived together and, when Marnie returned to her kingdom, Greer followed suit, later joining the Greybound.

Known as the 'Wizard of Stormglen', Benjamin Galermere joined the Greybound at the request of Lord Edward Traynor. He lends his magical expertise to the group and tutors the young Master James Traynor.

VANESSA CARMINE – Companion

Vanessa Carmine was rescued by the Greybound. Upon recovering her lost memories, she decided to return to Gilneas with the Greybound. Now, she acts as an assistant to Benjamin, offering her arcane aid.

LADY KETHLEEN CANDEY – Treasurer
